Black Peaks Release ‘Electric Fires’

Videos and singles Posted on 2018-08-04 10:48

Brighton 4 piece BLACK PEAKS release their brand new single ‘Electric Fires’, Friday 3rd August. It is the 3rd new single this year, and the band will be releasing their hugely anticipated, Adrian Bushby produced (Grammy award winner for Muse, Foo Fighters) 2nd album ‘All That Divides’, on October 5th through Rise Records/BMG.

BLACK PEAKS front man Will Gardner on the new single ‘Electric Fires’:

“‘Electric Fires’ was one of the first songs we wrote for ‘All That Divides’, and was one that had a few live outings towards the end of the Status tour. The song in many ways is one of our most straight-forward. Lyrically the song is a bit of a sarcastic comment on the beliefs of certain conspiracy theorists, Flat-Earthers etc. Essentially we just had fun with that idea, and wrote a song about how our Alien forefathers came here from Mars at the dawn of civilisation to build the pyramids, which, of course, 100% totally happened. Stay woke, kids.’

Drug Church Release New Single & Video ‘Avoidarama’

Videos and singles Posted on 2018-08-02 16:52

Punk rock agitators Drug Church have announced their upcoming third full-length, ‘Cheer’, due out November 2nd on Pure Noise Records. ‘Cheer’ finds the band amplifying their seemingly contradictory strengths to somehow make their most accessible work to date. Lead single ‘Avoidarama’ showcases Drug Church’s skill at deftly combining pummeling riffs with undeniable hooks, while its Ian Shelton-directed video interprets frontman Patrick Kindlon’s sardonic storytelling with a subject who plays dead to avoid awkward interactions.

Drug Church are a glorious contradiction. They are an unabashedly aggressive band that writes hooks you can’t stop humming: too poppy for the heavy crowd, too heavy for the poppy crowd. Their frontman is a singer who rarely sings and delivers lyrics that revel in the darkest corners of the human condition, but are just as likely to make you laugh as they are to make you flinch.

They loudly shout the uncomfortable truths we prefer to ignore but somehow make us want to shout along with them; they make serious music but don’t take themselves too seriously; they are completely adverse to planning but have accidentally built a loyal cult following. On ‘Cheer’, the band has doubled down on their Drug Church-iest impulses and improbably emerged with an album that’s sure to please longtime fans and turn new heads. If there’s anything intentional about Drug Church, it’s knowing the value of being unintentional.

GÖSTA BERLINGS SAGA – Sign worldwide deal with InsideOutMusic

News/nyheter Posted on 2018-08-02 16:48

Progressive rock instrumentalists GÖSTA BERLINGS SAGA from Stockholm, Sweden are not only glad to announce a newly signed worldwide deal with InsideOutMusic, but also the coming of their newest, 5th studio album effort entitled “ET EX” with a release date of October 12th, 2018.

GBS commented as follows:
“We are pleased and proud to announce that we have signed to InsideOutMusic. We’re really excited to be part of this long-running label, for several reasons. Not only will we be able to spread our music even further and reach new listeners but we also see this as a great opportunity and a perfect starting point, allowing us to focus even more on what we love – creating, recording and performing progressive music.

Our first release on InsideOutMusic will be our fifth album, titled “ET EX”, on which we have developed our eclectic instrumental rock even further with more of everything we love. More experimentalism, more contrast, and with more sonic variety than ever. Stay tuned for more details on album information as well as further show announcements.”

The music of GÖSTA BERLINGS SAGA is an incredibly dynamic Nordic instrumental adventure, tilting from melodic, starkly beautiful lines shimmering like an aurora borealis over the desolate Arctic tundra, to powerful and aggressive riffs reminiscent of glacier calves crashing into rugged Scandinavian fjords. Over the years the band’s music has been compared to King Crimson, Goblin and Radiohead, mixed into their very own and peculiar sonic universe.

GÖSTA BERLINGS SAGA was formed in 2000 in the Stockholm suburb of Vällingby, taking its bandname from one of the most famous works in Swedish literature, the debut novel of Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf, which was published in 1891. To date GBS have released 4 albums as follows: “Tid Är Ljud” (translated “Time Is Sound”) in 2006, “Detta Har Hänt” (translated “This Has Happened”) in 2009, “Glue Works“ in 2011 and most recentlly “Sersophane” in late 2016.

While the latest release came out through the band’s own label Icosahedron Music, GBS are now teaming up with InsideOutMusic as new worldwide label partner to launch their upcoming, fifth studio album entitled “ET EX” on October 12th, 2018.

Video Preimere Exit Empire – Forging My Own Crown

Videos and singles Posted on 2018-07-31 16:59 Rafael Eimut shares his thoughts: “With this song, we wanted to express the duality of emotions you experience when creating something. Whether it’s art, music or starting a business. You must be strong to follow your passion and vision, but at the same time, you are extremely vulnerable and basically hard to live with.”

“So we wanted to give something back to our friends and fans who support us in our own journey of creating music,” says the director, Exit Empire’s own guitarist Timmy Ruzicka. “We invited them to a party in our rehearsal room, grabbed a camera and just shot the whole thing unscripted. The result is a very authentic video with a positive vibe, the one we’ve been gaining strength from because of these people. Now we hope it will give strength back to our listeners and viewers.”
